This mission will be devoted for measuring level of carbon dioxide by satellite operated by Ministry of Science and Technology of China. TanSat satellite is equipped in spectrometer (called CarbonSpec) and Cloud and Aerosol Polarimetry Imager (CAPI) for compensating errors of spectrometer with measuring clouds and aerosol. Onboard instruments were designed and manufactured by Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics and Chinese Academy of Sciences. Satellite which weighs less than 500 kg will remain operational for three years. It will be launched on atop of Long March 2D and placed on designated orbit 700 km x 700 km with inclination at 98.2º.
