GPS IIF (another name GPS Block IIF) - interim class of satellite. They are used to keep the Navstar Global Positioning System until the GPS Block IIIA become operational. They were constructed by Boeing. Operator of this satellite is United States Air Force. Mass of this spacecraft is 1630 kg. GPS IIF SV-9 is operated in semi-synchronous medium Earth orbits (the same was with earlier GPS satellites). It's altitude is 20460 km, orbital period twelve hours. General satellites were produced to exist 12 years.

Now GPS IIF is instead the GPS Block IIA that were launched between 1990 and 1997. These satellites were produced to last 7.5 years.
