Launch of first three from eight planned for 2017 satellites operating under Glonass navigational system. Satellites belong to M series of Glonass spacecrafts; each satellite weighs 1415 kg and is operating for at least seven years. It is 3-Axis stabilized, powered by two deployable solar arrays providing up to 1250 W of power and are charging onboard NiH2 batteries. Satellite is equipped with 3 Cesium clocks, laser ranging device and transponders for transmitting navigational signal on L1OF, L1SF, L2OF and L2SF bands. Satellites are also known as Uragan-M and are made by NPO Prikladnoi Mekhaniki (NPO PM).
